How many bikes does this set carry?
One individual FreeRide 532 bike carrier, each carrying one bike. This is not one rack carrying several bicycles.
What is the maximum weight for each bike?
Each FreeRide 532 carrier holds a bike up to 17 kg. Each empty carrier weighs approximately 3.5 kg. The roof bars, carriers and bicycles must all fit within your vehicle's permitted roof load.
Are locks included?
Yes. Thule includes locks for securing the bike to the carrier and the carrier to the roof bars. Locks reduce theft risk but cannot guarantee against theft.
Will the FreeRide 532 fit my roof bars?
It works with compatible Thule roof-bar systems, including WingBar and SquareBar types, when the correct supplied fittings or adapters are used. For 24 x 30 mm T-tracks, Thule specifies the separate 889-3 adapter. Check the fixing diagram in the official instructions for your bars.
What bike wheels and frames are compatible?
Thule specifies wheels from 16 to 29 inches, tyres up to 3 inches wide, and a maximum 1245 mm wheelbase. The frame holder supports round frames of 22–70 mm or oval frames up to 65 x 80 mm. Check the actual bike before purchase.
Can I use it with a carbon-fibre bike frame?
No, Thule does not list standard carbon-fibre frames as compatible with the FreeRide 532 frame clamp. Choose a suitable specialist carrier or seek Thule's fitment guidance.
Can all the carriers be mounted together on my car?
Not necessarily. The number of carriers you can safely fit depends on the car, roof-bar width, usable spacing, roof-load limits and the size of the bikes. Ask Roof Boxed for help before ordering larger sets if unsure.
Can the carrier be installed on either side of the roof?
Yes. Thule supports left- or right-hand positioning when assembled and fitted according to its instructions.
